I'm pleased to report some more progress today!

Thanks to Josh for coming over to help!

Got the following completed:
- Rear axle filled with oil
- New pads and calipers installed.
- Coil springs re-installed
- Shocks installed
- New rear track bar installed
- New bump stops welded in
- New stainless braided lines installed on calipers

So rear axle is pretty much done except for:
- Main brake line
- Anti-swaybar

Also got the old seized U-joints out of the front Waggy axles!

Oh man... another big step today - New wheels are tires have been ordered!

I'm getting the 35x12.50 KM2's mounted on 15x8 black rock crawlers with 3.75" backspacing.

Also - got the rear braided brake line hooked up this weekend. For the rear, the only thing left now is to reinstall the rear axle, and the new swaybar disconnects.

I was able to clean up the old stock D44 axle shafts too - new U-joints will be installed this week. I figure I'll use them till they break to save some $$$ and get this project done faster!

Hope to make some more progress this weeekend!

Some more slight progress to report this week:

Got my D44 knuckles back from having them sand blasted. They look great!

Finally got that darned swaybar drilled out for the new disconnects and installed:

AND - last night I trimmed one of the rear fenders for the new wrap around bumper I'm going to build soon!

Note the motivational poster in the background!

Big surprise today! The tires and wheels came in!

Just finished trimming the rear fenders and track bar brackets - so the rear is pretty much done.

And for the firs time in well over a year - I've got tires on the rear of the Pathy!

(I think it's sitting a little higher than ride height - springs haven't settled and the engine weight is forward of the jack stands, and there's no rear bumper yet - so it'll come down a bit.

But I think it'll look great, and these 35" KM2's are badass!

Tires for the front:

And for those who waited patiently - here's a better shot of my motivational poster:

So now I should be able to start mocking up the front and figuring out rides heights and such. The D44 rebuild is about to go full speed ahead.

Called up complete offroad today and discussed gears, lockers, install kits, ball joints, and all the stuff I need to get the axle done - so here's hoping I can get it all done in time for the next run!

Thanks! By the way - where'd you get your fender flares from? Are they universal?

A company called Pacer makes Flexi Flares. I got them for one of the online autoparts stores and they are universal. They work great, just a lot of drilling and sheet metal screws. Mine are the "surface mount" style

Here is a link...
